Werner Lippmann (keyboard and vocals + all compositions with Skyhook ) and Heinz Preibsch (saxophone and vocals with the band "GAS") were already musically active around 1976 . There is an LP of "GAS", an LP from Skyhook and various singles from this period. Skyhook also had some successes at festivals and tours on a national level; In Berlin itself, however, because of their critical stance on official cultural funding among officials, they always remained in the Second Guard, while their ironic actions such as The Night of the Rivets as an answer to cultural funding received great media coverage.

At the end of the 1980s, they decided to carry on rock music only as a hobby and to forego appearances as young professionals. Werner Lippmann received his doctorate and worked as a music teacher , Heinz Preibsch devoted himself to porcelain painting and stage design . They set up a studio, wrote radio plays and continued composing. The CD Mitten im Bezirk and the radio play In the East, the Sun Rises - premiered in 1998. Here they traded under the name of Dr. Lippmann's clean sons. In 2001 they wrote the musical Die Kinder der Bounty and performed it in the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin. It was resumed in 2002 because of its great success. The CD Die Kinder der Bounty was sold by migusto.

Current plans / work of the two musicians are not known.
