Dragonland is a Swedish power metal band from Gothenburg .
history
Dragonland was founded in 1999. Then the six Swedes from Dragonland signed a contract with the Greek label Black Lotus Records . Their first album The Battle of the Ivory Plains was released in 2001. Holy War followed in 2002 . Dragonland came up with a fantasy saga on which both albums are based. In May 2003 u. a. a tour of Japan .
In 2004 Dragonland signed with Century Media and recorded their third album, Starfall , with the assistance of Tom Englund ( Evergrey ) . The fourth album Astronomy was published on 10 November 2006. On November 18, 2011, the album was released after a long break Under the Gray Banner at AFM Records , which in addition to strong symphonic elements and a progressive tendency clearly with film music in the style of Hans Zimmer compare leaves.
