Twist
Twist (technical term from the Low German drillen for "turn" or "turn around") stands for:
- the physical quantity angular momentum
- Twist (weapon) , twisting of the barrel of firearms and the resulting self-rotation of projectiles
- Twist (shaft) , surface property of a rotating shaft similar to the roughness , which is decisive for the tightness of the shaft sealing ring .
- Spin , rotation of a ball in sports such as tennis, soccer, golf or billiards
- Twisting when twisting fibers or wires around one another in a helical manner to form a yarn or rope : depending on the direction of rotation, one speaks of S-twist or Z-twist
