Drangavík ( isl. Cliff Bay ) is a bay in the Westfjords of Iceland .
The bay extends south to the Engines headland. Behind is the Eyvindarfjörður . In the north they border the Drangaskörð cliffs, which are known in Iceland. Further to the northwest there are small, flat bays up to Bjarnarfjörður . The house from the courtyard of the same name still stands on the south bank of the Drangavík. People lived from flotsam, seal hunting and the harvest of eiderdown. The house was abandoned in 1947 and is now in ruins. The Drangavíkurá flows through the valley. You can catch trout in it. Bears have often come ashore in the bay. For example in April 1932. The farmer from Drangavík was able to shoot him.
