Dream Park

The Dream Park is an amusement park in the West African state of Gambia . It is located near Kololi west of the Bertil Harding Highway in the coastal region (the so-called Tourism Development Area ) and is the first of its kind in Gambia and the fifth on the African continent. It opened in early 2008 and is run by a Libyan businessman. Seven more Dream Parks are planned in Africa.

The site is adjacent to the Senegambia Area , where hotels have settled, so the amusement park is a part of promoting tourism in Gambia . Is on the area of about 160 x 80 m bumper cars , electric boats with rubber buffers in the water basin ( Bumper boats ) and other attractions. A restaurant, toilets, a candy store and a toy store complete the offer. The target audience should be of all ages and races, not just tourists. Two million US dollars are to be invested in the project within three years . The monthly electricity costs to the NAWEC are 80,000 Dalasi and 40 people are employed in the park, another 20 people work in the restaurant.
