Dreams of Sanity
Dreams of Sanity was a symphonic metal band from Austria . It was founded in 1991 and released three albums before it broke up in 2002.
history
After their founding in 1991 Dreams of Sanity first released two demos, in 1994 and 1996. In the second half of the year they went on a European tour before their actual debut album was released in 1997, which was thematically inspired by Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy . The band released two more LPs, the first dealing with the Phantom of the Opera and the second as a concept album dedicated to life as a game. There were significant line-up changes during the recording process for the third album, which eventually led to Hall of Sermon canceling the contract. The group broke up in 2002. Martina Hornbacher-Astner also worked as a studio singer on Therion's 1998 album Vovin .
