The Dreary Isthmus (English for Desolate Isthmus ) is a low-lying isthmus on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It connects the Brown Peninsula with the moraine area north of Mount Discovery .

It received its descriptive name in 1999 from the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names .
