The Dreesch district is the smallest district of Siegburg in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The Dreesch district is located north of the city center, on the western edge the Brückberg district borders the Aulgasse ( Siegburg-Nord ) district in the north . To the east, the Tönnisberg district and the Stallberg district adjoin .

history

The name Dreesch goes back to the Driesch field name, which comes from the medieval three-field economy. Dreesch, regionally also Driesch, refers to a piece of land or grassland that has not been cultivated with field crops . The name is probably derived from the number three .
