Dyke house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deichhaus is a formerly independent district of the city of Siegburg . It was built at the Siegburger Mühlengraben and at the Sieg and was thus outside the city walls of Siegburg. The district has belonged to Siegburg since 1927, before that Deichhaus belonged to the Buisdorf community .

In 1885 Deichhaus had nine residential buildings with 43 residents.

In Deichhaus you will find the parish church St. Elisabeth , consecrated in 1959 and listed as a historical monument in 1993, and the community elementary school Hans-Alfred-Keller-Schule, which in 2009 was named a "health promoting school". One of the associations is the Bürgergemeinschaft Deichhaus e. V.
