Three Intermezzi (Brahms)
The Drei Intermezzi op.117 are a collection of character pieces for piano by Johannes Brahms from 1892 .
Characteristic
The three pieces are based on an introverted and thoughtful mood. The motto of the first intermezzo is preceded by the opening lines of a Scottish lullaby published by Johann Gottfried Herder in the voices of the peoples in songs , occasionally all three pieces by Brahms were also referred to as "lullabies of my pains".
The pieces are often played together.

- No. 3 in c sharp minor. Andante con moto
