Trinity Church (Dessau)
The Church of the Most Holy Trinity is located in the Dessau-Süd district of the independent city of Dessau-Roßlau in Heidestrasse.
history
Under Pastor Kroll, the architect Johannes Reuter created plans for a church and a rectory in 1936. However, due to the scarcity of raw materials, the realization was not approved in 1938. In 1952 construction finally began. The materials were mostly extracted from the rubble of the town house. The foundation stone was laid on November 9, 1952. In 1954 the church was consecrated by the auxiliary bishop Friedrich Maria Rintelen from Magdeburg . In 1956 the organ was consecrated. Heinrich Bartmann was the first pastor of the church. Today the church is listed as an architectural monument under number 094 40873.
Parish
The church belongs to the Catholic parish of St. Peter and Paul Dessau, in the Dessau deanery of the Magdeburg diocese . Parish church is the provost church of St. Peter and Paul in Dessau.
