The Trinity Church in Hohenlockstedt

The Trinity Church is the Evangelical Lutheran church of the Schleswig-Holstein community of Hohenlockstedt . It was in the years 1961 / 65 to the plans of Munich architect Olaf Andreas Gulbransson as modern built church. Gulbransson planned the church without a tower in the tradition of mendicant churches . As in many of his church buildings, Gulbransson uses geometric shapes such as the wide triangular gable, the low roof and, in the design of the interior, the twelve meter high altar mosaic by Arno Bromberger. On the west side he added a round sacristy. The Kleuker organ was built to be tropicalized for climatic reasons. The altar cross designed by Hermann Jünger was stolen in May 2011.

The church is a cultural monument in Hohenlockstedt.
