The Three slices platebody type Alfedana (also Samnite Dreischeibenhaus Armor ) is an armor of ancient Italy.

description

The three-pane plate armor type Alfedana consists of sheet bronze and is in two parts . The breast, and the back plate are made of a sheet driven and adapted to the structure of the body. There are three round discs on the front and the back. The top two plates are tapered on both parts to provide space for the chest muscles. The lower discs are rather flat. On the front part, just below the neckline, bulges for the clavicle bones are driven out. There are holes all around the edge that are used to attach the lining. Remnants of fastenings that were used to attach straps to the body were found on the shoulders and sides.
