Dremel 4200 multifunction tool

Dremel is a brand name for power tools . It is also often used as a generic name for high-speed multi-function tools from other manufacturers.

Dremel became known for its hand motors, which allow machining of small workpieces, e.g. B. grinding or sawing in model making . The work is similar to that in dental technology ; with or without a handpiece, the rapidly rotating tools are guided along the workpiece . As a rule, the speed of the motors can be easily adjusted on the tool or on the power supply unit.

For attachment to the Dremel, the rotary tools have a rotary axis that is clamped in a collet on the handpiece ; The cone and mating cone are tightened by screwing the union cap axially. The motor axis can be locked against turning with a spring-loaded button on the handpiece. Collets for rotary axes with diameters of 0.8, 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mm can be used, which corresponds to 1/32, 1/16, 3/32 and 1/8 inches .
