Drina river house

The Drina river house - Serbian Kućica na Drini  - stands in the Drina , the border river between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina . On a rocky island in the Serbian half of the river, it is located on the northern edge of the town of Bajina Bašta , about 1 km from the center.

In 1968 young swimmers first built a platform from the boards of a disused shed. In 1969, boaters and kayakers turned it into a refuge for water hikers. The building material was thrown into the water a few kilometers upstream and fished off on the island. Since then, torn away by floods several times , the hut has been rebuilt again and again.
