The music veterans and Drizzly Music founders AL-Faris & VOODI began playing as DJs in the Frankfurt area at the end of the 1980s. Numerous stays in Ibiza and the sound of clubs like Dorian Gray shaped her own style. In 1991 VOODI founded Attic Music Production . AL-Faris worked as Import & Sales Manager (1991–2010) at the vinyl distributor Discomania .
Founded in 1993 in Oberursel , Hessen , the first record label was created to offer local producers a platform. Artists like Andrew Wooden , Sonic Experience, AL-Faris , Andreas Krämer, Junk Project , Aquaplex , Toni Rios, Oliver Lieb, André Walter, Reysan Khan or Solid Sleep were among others. a. the first regional signings to be published.
Meanwhile, AL-Faris & VOODI have released more than 500 physical singles and albums. As a label owner, producer and remixer, AL-Faris u. a. with Grammy Award Winner Jody Watley, Grammy Award nominated Deborah Cox, MTV Award Winner Ayumi Hamasaki (AYU), Simon Collins, Marisa Turner, Funkstar De Luxe, Mike D'Abo, Blank & Jones, DJ Antoine, Cosmic Gate, DJ Sherry , Soulshaker or Colonel Abrams together.
Over the years, the artist repertoire expanded to include national and international artists and remixers, as well as a music publishing edition. DJ Shog, Tukan, Green Court feat. De / Vision and Ayu became well-known greats in the dance scene under Drizzly Music and placed themselves in the German album and single charts . The title "Connected" by the Japanese singer AYU (Ayumi Hamasaki) was the first and so far last Japanese full vocal single that made it into the official German charts in Germany.
