Drops (vocal quartet)
The Drops are a German a cappella vocal quartet that was formed around 1980 from former students of the Detmold and Hanover music academies .
history
The Drops were founded in 1980 in cooperation with the WDR and the arrangers Norbert Schultze and Emil Gerhardt , among others , and built up a repertoire that ties in with the hits of the Comedian Harmonists . They soon appeared in numerous WDR entertainment programs in honor of well-known composers of light music such as Franz Grothe , Ralph Benatzky , Mischa Spoliansky , Gerhard Winkler , Paul Abraham or Friedrich Schröder and have been on almost all public broadcasters to this day.

When it was founded, the vocal quartet consisted of Hans-Ulrich Henning (tenor), Joachim Thalmann (tenor), Michael Timm (baritone) and Hans-Peter Bendt (bass).
The current line-up of the Drops consists of Hans-Ulrich Henning (tenor), Georg Thauern (tenor baritone), Volker Schrewe (baritone) and Stefan Drees (bass). You will work with the pianists Christoph Grohmann , Michael Seewann and Stanislav Boianov or perform a cappella.
