Hans-Ulrich Henning

Hans-Ulrich Henning (born March 25, 1950 in Gütersloh ) is a German choir director , singer and music teacher .

Act

Hans-Ulrich Henning studied school music , singing and German at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . After graduating from grammar school, he studied singing with Peter Ziethen at the Münster University of Music from 1975 to 1980 . From 1979 to 2018 (retired) he was senior teacher for music at the grammar school of the CJD Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Versmold . In this capacity he initiated and directed the nationwide youth symphony orchestra of the Christian Youth Village Association in Germany and founded the Christophorus Youth Chamber Choir Versmold in 1979 , which he still directs today and with which he has won numerous national and international awards. As a tenor , he was a member of the vocal ensemble ColVoc from 1978 to 1989 and lead singer of the vocal quartet Drops , whose work has been documented in numerous television, radio and record productions. Henning was a juror in numerous competitions and a member of the European Choral Association - Europa Cantat , the working group Music in the Young , the International Federation for Choral Music and received the title of choir director from the International Choral Conductors Association .
