Hans-Ulrich Henning
Hans-Ulrich Henning (born March 25, 1950 in Gütersloh ) is a German choir director , singer and music teacher .
Act
Hans-Ulrich Henning studied school music , singing and German at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . After graduating from grammar school, he studied singing with Peter Ziethen at the Münster University of Music from 1975 to 1980 . From 1979 to 2018 (retired) he was senior teacher for music at the grammar school of the CJD Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Versmold . In this capacity he initiated and directed the nationwide youth symphony orchestra of the Christian Youth Village Association in Germany and founded the Christophorus Youth Chamber Choir Versmold in 1979 , which he still directs today and with which he has won numerous national and international awards. As a tenor , he was a member of the vocal ensemble ColVoc from 1978 to 1989 and lead singer of the vocal quartet Drops , whose work has been documented in numerous television, radio and record productions. Henning was a juror in numerous competitions and a member of the European Choral Association - Europa Cantat , the working group Music in the Young , the International Federation for Choral Music and received the title of choir director from the International Choral Conductors Association .

Henning received the following awards with the Christophorus youth chamber choir Versmold :
- 1985: Finalist in the German Choir Competition
- 1993: 1st prize at the International Choir Festival Olomouc
- 1997: Representative of Germany at the International Youth Choir Festival in Thessaloniki
- 2001: Bruno-Kleine-Förderpreis for exemplary and sustainable youth work
- 2002: World premiere of a work by Max Beckschäfer
- 2002: Finalist of the German Choir Competition
- 2004: invitation to the IX. Pazaislio Muzikos Festivalis in Kaunas
- 2005: Star of the year of the East Westphalian print media for outstanding achievements in the cultural life of East Westphalia
- 2006: Invitation to the 6th International Youth Chamber Choir Encounter in Usedom
- 2007: Germany representative for the World Youth Festival of Arts in Aberdeen
- 2009: Representative of North Rhine-Westphalia at the federal meeting of schools making music in Hamburg
- 2009: Gold medal and special prize for the best program selection and dramaturgy at the IV International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music in Bratislava
- 2016: 1st place with the highest distinction at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival in Vienna
- 2016: 1st prize and distinction in the competition The best choir in the west organized by Westdeutscher Rundfunk
- 2016: Star of the year of the East Westphalian print media for outstanding achievements in the cultural life of East Westphalia
- 2019: Value Star of the Year from the Foundation for Christian Value Education .
