Drymusa (from gr. Δρῦς (drys) "tree" and Μοῦσα ( Musa ) "muse") is the only genus of the family Drymusidae. The family belongs to the superfamily Scytodoidea and includes 16 Drymusa species. The species are distributed in Brazil , Argentina , Costa Rica , South Africa , and on Cuba , Hispaniola and St. Vincent . They look similar to the violin spiders ( Loxosceles , Sicariidae ), but differently weave a safety net.
