The Jabal Katrina (German also Katharinenberg , Arabic جبل كاترينا Jabal Kātrīnā orجبل القديسة كاترينا Jabal al-Qiddīsa Kātrīnā ) is located on the Sinai Peninsula and isthe highest point in Egypt at 2,637  m . A few kilometers to the northeast are the Greek Orthodox St. Catherine's Monastery and Mount Moses .

The mountain is named after St. Catherine of Alexandria .

It is five leagues from St. Catherine's Monastery. Thanks to a footpath that a monk from the monastery named Moses built into the mountain, it can be easily climbed on foot. Officially, the mountain can only be climbed with a guide.

At the top of Jabal Katrina there is a chapel dedicated to Saint Catherine, the sacred remains of which, according to tradition, were found here and brought down to the monastery. Next to it there are two rooms for pilgrims who want to spend the night there. There is also a meteorological station at the summit that was built in 1932 by the Smith Meteorological Institute of California.

From the mountain the view extends to the south of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Eilat with its islands.
