The Jamshidieh Park ( Parke-e Sangi-e Jamshidjieh , also Jamshidieh Park or Jamshidieh Rock Garden ) is a park in the north of Tehran . The first entrance is at 1,820 m asl, the second at 2,100 m. The park is located at the foot of the Kolaktschal Mountain in the Niavaran district , measures around 100 hectares including the surrounding mountain slopes and is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque parks in the city.

The park was laid out in several construction phases from 1973. Specially selected stone slabs and rubble stones were used for the design. The park also integrates two natural elements: black stone and flowers. Artificial watercourses run through the entire area, including an artificial waterfall and a lake. There are several stone and metal sculptures in the park. In 1994 the park was expanded to include a garden named after Ferdowsi .

The park is home to numerous restaurants and traditional teahouses that represent the ethnic diversity of Iran . There are also picnic areas and hiking trails that open up magnificent views of Tehran and lead to the top of the mountain. There is also an amphitheater and a library for children and young people at Kanun-e Parvaresh .

Jamschidieh Park was founded during the Pahlavi era in memory of the Qajar prince Jamschid Davallu Qajar, who in turn dedicated it to Farah Pahlavi . The complex was also maintained and expanded in the period after the Islamic Revolution .
