Dschraberd ( Armenian Ջրաբերդ Dschraberd , "Wasserburg") is the ruins of a hilltop castle in the province of Martakert the de facto independent, but de jure Azerbaijan belonging Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

Dschraberd Castle is located in the north of the Martakert province in an almost uninhabited, densely forested valley of the Tartar River, 13 km northwest of the provincial capital Martakert and only 3 km from the Jeriz Mankanz Monastery . The castle is located on a rock massif, around which the rivers Tartar and Trchi flow.
history
The Dschraberd Castle is historically significant and gave its name to a principality of the same name, which was one of the five Armenian Melictuities of Karabakh . The castle was the seat of the Meliks of Dschraberd.
