Daniel Johannes "Duane" Vermeulen (born July 3, 1986 in Nelspruit , Transvaal ) is a South African rugby player who is active in the South African national rugby union team . With this, he was in the Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan as Number Eight world champions.
In 2019 he plays for Kubota Spears in the Japanese Top League . Before that he played for the Pumas, the Free State Cheetahs and Western Province , as well as the Super Rugby teams Cheetahs, Stormers and Bulls as well as the RC Toulon in the French rugby league.
