How the game works

Goal of the game :

DuckStars is a game for two players. The aim of the game is to beat all 3 villain cards of the opponent and thereby drive all villains out of Duckburg .

Basic game

Step 1 :

First you choose three of your villain cards and place them face down in a row. Then eight hero cards are chosen, which you shuffle and place face down on the hero pile behind the villains. A coin toss decides who goes first.

Step 2 :

Player 1 takes the top card from his hero pile. Player 2 chooses the villain he wants to play with first. When a villain card has been defeated, it must be placed face up and can no longer be used. It always takes turns.

When a villain beats a hero

Step 3 :

If a villain hits a hero, it is placed face down and can be used in another round. The hero card must be placed on the "played cards" pile.

Draw Step 4 :

If a hero card has the same value as the villain card, the hero card is put at the bottom of the pile. It can be used again in another round. The villain can be put down again and used again in another round.

When a player runs out of cards : When a player runs out of hero cards, the opponent automatically wins the game.

Advanced game

Extra cards can be used in the advanced game. When choosing the eight hero cards, you can also choose two extra cards. Each player may use a maximum of two extra cards per game. Some extra cards can only be used with corresponding character cards. Some extra cards can be used with any hero or villain. Extra cards increase the game values ​​of the category and increase the chance of defeating the opponent.
