James Joseph "Duffy" Waldorf, Jr. (born August 20, 1962 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American professional golfer with the PGA TOUR . He is one of the most colorful figures and veterans of the North American tournament series.

Career

Waldorf attended UCLA , graduated with a psychology degree in 1985 , was named College Player of the Year , and also played for his country in the Walker Cup .

At the end of that eventful year he became a professional golfer , but was not able to finally qualify for the PGA TOUR until 1990 . Waldorf is a very consistent player and has won four tournaments and over $ 11 million in prize money to date. Especially in the short game, Duffy is one of the best on the tour.

The proven wine specialist is known for his colorful caps and unusual shirts. His wife and children also always write notes and reminders on the golf balls he uses during tournaments.
