Dulce Nunes

Dulce Nunes , actually Dulce Pinto Bressane (born June 11, 1929 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ; † June 4, 2020 there ), was a Brazilian singer and actress .

Career

Dulce Nunes began her career as an actress in the 1950s and came up with three feature films and two series appearances by her death.

She gave up filmmaking and began a second career as a singer of Bossa Nova . She made her debut in 1964 in the album Pobre menina rica (German poor rich girl ) with compositions by Vinicius de Moraes . She took part in the anthology album Os afro-sambas de Baden e Vinicius in 1966 with a song, that album was produced by Baden Powell and Vinicius de Moraes and also included their compositions. Two more albums of her own followed and she ended her solo career in the late 1960s. From 1956 to 1965 she was married to the pianist Bené Nunes , from 1968 to 1976 with the 18 years younger musician and composer Egberto Gismonti .

She died on June 4, 2020 at the age of 90 from complications from the COVID-19 disease.
