Outline sketch of the floor plan of a brochure

This comparatively old, but small oval brochure with a diameter of 10 to 11 m has been excavated and, based on the radiocarbon analysis, dates from the last half of the 1st millennium BC. BC ( Iron Age ). It has three galleries and a staircase in the wall ring and its entrance, which is provided with a door holder and lock, is on the slightly more than 20 m long opposite side of the dam. The surprising aspect of the excavation was the existence of external structures, some of which were below the water level. These conditions were suitable for preserving organic material such as wood and plants.

About 500 miles away is the Broch in Loch Na Berie and 5 miles to the west is Dun Borranais .
