The Asociación Atlética Durazno Fútbol Club , Durazno FC for short , nickname Los Rojos del Yí , was a football club , formerly from the city of Durazno in the Durazno department in central Uruguay .
history
The club was founded on November 22, 2005 from a merger of the clubs Central , Juvenil , Nacional , Molles and Rampla and played five seasons in the second highest Uruguayan division, the Segunda División Profesional de Uruguay , from 2006 until its dissolution in 2011 .
Durazno FC made their debut on September 16, 2006 with a 3-0 home win against El Tanque Sisley in the second division and finished the season in tenth. The biggest win came on November 13, 2007 with a 5-1 home win against Huracán Buceo . Durazno finished seventh that season. The 2008/09 season ended the Durazno FC in 4th place after he reached third place in the interim ranking of the Apertura 2008. This should remain the best end-of-season placement. 2010 Durazno was eleventh and in the 2011/2011 season, in which the club played its home games in the capital Montevideo, tenth.
The move to Montevideo turned out to be economically disadvantageous and the owner company moved to Plaza Colonia . This ensured that the club no longer took part in the 2011/12 season and was dissolved.
