Implementing organization
Implementing organizations are, in the parlance of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), special organizations of German development cooperation . They are commissioned by the BMZ to carry out the federal government's development projects .
The diversity of the implementing organizations is a special feature of German development cooperation. The individual organizations have specialized in certain areas of responsibility.
tasks
The implementing organizations of German development cooperation have three main tasks:
- You are responsible for the implementation of financial cooperation and technical cooperation projects .
- They prepare German specialists and development workers for their secondment in developing countries.
- They are responsible for the professional development of specialists and managers from the partner countries.
Organizations
The KfW Development Bank (part of the KfW Group ) and the German Investment and Development Company (DEG) are primarily responsible for the area of financial cooperation . The German Society for Technical Cooperation assumes responsibility for the practical cooperation on site in the partner countries .
The German Development Service has specialized in the preparation and dispatch of development workers. The international training and development gGmbH is active in the field of capacity building , personnel development, further training and dialogue and network formation . International specialists are trained by the Center for International Migration and Development .
There are also other implementing organizations that specialize in individual tasks, such as the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) or the Federal Physical-Technical Institute .
restructuring
With effect from January 1, 2011, the German Society for Technical Cooperation , the German Development Service and the training company InWEnt merged to form the Society for International Cooperation .
