The Duthoit Point is a headland at the eastern end of Nelson Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It marks the southwest boundary of the entrance from the Bransfield Strait into Maxwell Bay between Nelson Island and King George Island .
The headland is marked on maps that date back to at least 1822. Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped them between 1934 and 1935. They named them after Arthur Dennis Duthoit (1890-1957), draftsman for the British Admiralty's Hydrographic Office .
