The Dvorana Gradski vrt is a multi-purpose hall in the Croatian city of Osijek . The halls of the complex are mainly used for handball and basketball games. The complex consists of seven halls. Two of these halls have spectator stands; the capacity of these two halls is 3,538 and 1,448 spectators respectively. Two smaller halls are used for martial arts training. The complex houses the largest athletics hall in Croatia and covers a total of 18,590 m².
The Dvorana Gradski vrt was one of the venues for the 2009 men's handball world championship .
In addition to sporting events, the complex is also used for major events (entertainment, culture and media).
The foundation stone was laid for this hall, which was specially built for the 2009 Handball World Cup, on October 11, 2006. The architects were Gordana Domić and Boris Koružnjak. The construction costs amounted to 30 million euros . On December 28, 2008, the complex was officially opened.
