Dwarf Stars Award
The Dwarf Stars Award is a literary prize that has been awarded annually by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association (SFPA) since 2006 for short poems of up to 10 lines from the field of speculative literature ( science fiction , fantasy and horror ) .
The award ceremony is based on an anthology published annually by the SFPA. Contributions to this anthology can be submitted by authors or suggested by members of the SFPA. From the contributions in the anthology, the members of the SFPA vote on the winner of the year.
The aim of the award is to ensure that the short and shortest forms, such as Scifaiku , Tanka and Cinquain , which are regularly not considered at the Rhysling Awards , are also given appropriate attention.
