Elgin Award

The Elgin Award is a literary award , which since 2013 science fiction - Poetry annually by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association is awarded (SFPA).

The award goes to lyrical works that have appeared in the two previous years. It is awarded in the two categories Book (over 40 pages) and Chapbook (10 to 39 pages). A first to third place is awarded in each category. The members of the SFPA nominate and vote on the award winners.

The name of the award honors the achievements of the linguist and science fiction author Suzette Haden Elgin , who died in 2015, and the founder of the SFPA.
