Dyan Sheldon is an American writer who writes books for children, teenagers and adults.

Life

Originally from Brooklyn , she spent part of her childhood on Long Island . After several positions in the USA, she now lives in London . She has a daughter.

Dyan Sheldon mainly wrote books for children and young people, as well as some picture books and novels for adults.

Her science fiction novel for teenagers Perfect , which deviates from her usual style, was published under the pseudonym "DM Quintano". Her novel Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen became a # 1 New York Times best seller. It was filmed in 2004 under the same name by Disney with Lindsay Lohan in the lead role. In German-speaking countries, the film was called Confessions of a High School Diva .
