Ivan Andreevich Urgant ( Russian Ива́н Андре́евич У́ргант ; born April 16, 1978 in Leningrad ) is a Russian TV presenter , actor and musician.

Iwan Urgant grew up in a family of actors; his parents are Andrei Lwowitsch Urgant and Valeria Ivanovna, née Kisseljowa. The paternal grandfather, Lev Maximowitsch Milinder, was already a Soviet Russian theater actor. He was of Jewish origin ; his wife Nina Nikolajewna Urgant was a native of Estonia .

Iwan Urgant has been a presenter on Russian television since 1999. Greater recognition he achieved from 2003, when he talent show Narodniy Artist radio station Perwy channel initiated. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of Prozhektor periskhilton , the Russian equivalent of 7 days, 7 heads .

Together with the singer Alsou , he moderated the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. Since April 2012 he has his own daily late-night show called Wetschernij Urgant ( Evening Urgant ) on Perwy kanal .

Urgant is married for the second time and has one daughter. He lives in Moscow .
