Nikolaj Koppel

Nikolaj Koppel moderated the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 together with Lise Rønne and Pilou Asbæk

Nikolaj Koppel (born March 6, 1969 in Gentofte ) is a Danish musician and journalist .

He is the son of the musicians Lone Koppel and John Winther. After studying at the Royal Danish Conservatory , he became a professional singer in 1998, but retired from the music business after only two years. He later started working as a music journalist for the Danish radio station DR and was the author of Euroman magazine . In 2005 he returned to the music business as the music director of Tivoli .

Together with Lise Rønne and Pilou Asbæk, he moderated the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen on May 6, 8 and 10, 2014.
