Helga Guitton

Helga Guitton (born December 18, 1942 in Königsberg ) is a German radio and television presenter who mainly worked in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Life and career

After studying foreign languages, taking dance and acting classes and an engagement at the Heidelberg City Theaters as well as television announcements in the regional program of the Südfunk Stuttgart , Helga Guitton was part of the speaking team of the four from November 9, 1964 to February 28, 1994 (until the early 1980s as Helga ) happy waves from Radio Luxemburg and was one of the stars of the station alongside Frank Elstner and Jochen Pützenbacher . On television she acted as an announcer in the initial phase of the RTLplus program , after she had previously moderated the current showroom on NDR and the song circus on ZDF . In 1973 she presented the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson in French and English (and with a brief greeting in German and Luxembourgish) , which was held in Luxembourg that year.

Helga Guitton lived in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and, together with her RTL colleagues Jochen Pützenbacher and Haidy Jacobi (Adelaide Harbich), was awarded the Ordre de mérite of the Grand Duchy in 1986 . She was married to the French publicist René Guitton, who worked on RTL's French TV and radio program in the 1960s; Their son Joschi is a publisher and literary agent in Paris and organizes a literary festival on the Ile de Ré once a year. Today Helga Guitton lives in Heidelberg.
