Anastasios "Sakis" Rouvas (born January 5, 1972 in Corfu ; Greek Σάκης Ρουβάς ) is a Greek singer.

Life

In the Olympic discipline of pole vault , he was included in the national selection of Greece. He gave up his career as an athlete in favor of the artistic.

Sakis Rouvas at the Eurovision Song Contest

Rouvas won the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with his song Shake it! took third place and hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens after Elena Paparizou had won the competition the previous year . In 2009 he represented his home country again at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow with the pop song This Is Our Night , where he finished seventh in the victory of the Norwegian Alexander Rybak .
