Mikko Johannes Leppilampi (born September 22, 1978 in Pälkäne ) is a Finnish actor and musician . He became known in 2003 with his debut film Helmiä ja sikoja , where he was awarded the Jussi film prize for best actor in 2004 for his portrayal of the shop .

Life

As the son of the gospel musician Jukka Leppilampi , he is also active in the music industry. He has sung the soundtrack for several films in which he was involved. His first album, which is self-titled, was released on May 10, 2006 by Sony BMG . It debuted at number 24 on the Finnish album charts.

Mikko Leppilampi has been married to Emilia Leppilampi (née Vuorisalmi) since August 19, 2006. The couple have a daughter who was born in 2005.

On May 12, 2007, Mikko Leppilampi moderated the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki with Jaana Pelkonen, and the following year he read the Finnish scoring for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 .

Since August 2018 he has been moderating the quiz show "Jahti" on the private broadcaster MTV3, which is the Finnish version of the successful British show The Chase , the German version of which is shown on ARD as Asked Hunted .
