Meltem Cumbul (born November 5, 1969 in İzmir , Turkey ) is a Turkish actress .

Life

In 1991 Meltem Cumbul completed her studies with a focus on drama at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul . She then worked as an actress for the Royal Shakespeare Company in London and hosted programs like Aşağı Yukarı and Nereden başlasak? During this time, Cumbul starred in the films Bay E and Böcek . In 1996 she played the lead role in the soap opera Sahte Dünyalar and in 1997 she got her own The Meltem Cumbul Show .

She played roles in the films Karışık Pizza , Born in Absurdistan and in the musical Anlat Şehrazat Anlat . She was also seen in the television series Biz size aşık olduk , Beşik Kertmesi , Gurbet Kadını and Yılan Hikayesi .

She won the golden orange at the Antalya Film Festival for her role in the film Abdülhamit Düşerken ("When Abdülhamid fell"). She also appeared in the films Gegen die Wand and Gönül Yarası . Cumbul moderated the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul together with Korhan Abay .
