Stefania Liberakakis ( Greek Στεφανία Λυμπερακάκη ; born December 17, 2002 in Utrecht ) is a Greek - Dutch singer and actress.

Youth and private matters

Liberakakis grew up in Utrecht as the youngest sibling in a family with three children. Both her parents are from the Regional District of Evros in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Greece . Liberakakis is in a relationship with the Dutch singer and actor Jannes Heuvelmans.

Career

In 2014 Liberakakis was seen for the first time on Dutch television as a participant in the third season of The Voice Kids and joined Marco Borsato's team , but was eliminated in the following battle round. Then she sang in the children's choir Kinderen voor Kinderen for two years .

In 2016 she was a member of the group Kisses, which was chosen by AVROTROS to represent the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Malta with the song Kisses and Dancin ' . Kisses achieved eighth place with 174 points.

Two years later she released her first solo single, Stupid Reasons . This was followed by three more singles. In 2019 she starred in the television series Brugklas and in three feature films. On YouTube, she is one of the moderators of the MEIDEN Magazine and Yours Daily channels .

In 2020 the Greek broadcaster ERT chose Liberakakis to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam with the song SUPERG! RL . The song was written by Dimitris Kontopoulos with the Arcade production team and Sharon Vaughn. However, the competition had to be canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic . Now it should go to the start of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 .
