Dynamo 5 was a five-piece German pop band that was put together in 1999 for the feature film comedy Sonnenallee .
Career
The band was formed around the actor Robert Stadlober , who embodies the role of Wuschel in the film and dreams of a career as a musician. Together with four members of the Hamburg rock band Selig , which was dissolved at the time, two cover versions of hits from the time in which the feature film was set were created for the soundtrack:
- Get It On is originally from the band T. Rex from 1971
- The Letter , which also hit the German charts as a single, originally from 1967 from the Box Tops
