The Dyvelsten ( German  "Teufelsstein" ); also Sagnsten ( German called  "Sagenstein" ) is the largest boulder ( Danish Vandreblokk ) on the north island of the Danish island of Samsø . It is north of Nordby , east and near the Issehoved road on a hill and is difficult to see in tall grass. The boulder is under protection.

There has been a lot of superstition associated with him in the past. Legend has it that it is one of three stones that a giant threw in the direction of Nordby Church. For the inhabitants of the North Island it was a symbol of fertility. Childless women brought small dolls or bread with butter to stone. One prophecy has it that if the stone is revealed, Nordby will burn down. Similar legends are linked to other Danish boulders.

The Samsø Labyrinten is nearby .

Dyvelsten is also a village in Forshaga (municipality) in Värmland in Sweden .
