ECO is a television broadcast by Swiss radio and television . It deals with business- related topics and is broadcast every Monday on SRF 1 .

Content of the broadcast

At the beginning of the broadcast, a key figure from the economy is presented for about a minute and compared to everyday things. The program deals with economic backgrounds. Three contributions are usually shown in the 25 minutes of broadcasting time. Usually two of the posts deal with current topics. The third post shows a portrait of a person, usually an entrepreneur .

Time slot

ECO was first broadcast on SF 1 on August 20, 2007 and has since been shown on the same channel on Monday evening at 10:20 p.m. It is repeated on Tuesdays at 11:35 a.m. (SRF 1) and on the same day on SRF info at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and on Wednesdays at 1:45 p.m. on 3sat .

Since 2015, the program ECO Talk has been broadcast six times a year, each time at 10:55 p.m. Swiss business representatives are invited to participate in the program on a specific topic.

Moderation and awards

The program is moderated by Reto Lipp , Patrizia Laeri was his deputy from 2017 to 2020 .

At the 2010 Swiss Television Award , ECO won in the “Broadcast” category.
