action

Jerry Arthur is currently going through his mid-life crisis. He's over 40, divorced, and hasn't spoken to his daughter Trisha for a few years. He works as a sales rep for Milton-Hill, for whom he goes door-to-door (with moderate success). At home, Jerry leads a rather lonely life where he eats ready-made meals at night. Invitations from colleagues, such as B. David, to do something, he refuses again and again. Jerry has come to terms with the daily routine of his life (and the fact that as a representative you often slam the door in front of his nose), which is why he does not have high expectations and does not have a particularly high self-esteem. A short time later, Jerry receives another invitation to a party from colleagues, which he accepts this time. But he accidentally rings the wrong door, which Jordan opens. Jordan is a young punk rocker who, with her clever and funny manner, embodies everything that Jerry is not. When Jerry then enters the house and passes the doorstep, something begins to change in him (starting with a short smile on his face).

Soon he finds himself in a record shop, where he learns about punk music and makes new friends with guys half his age. He meets Jordan again in the bar she works at, and a relationship begins between the two of them. However, there are also obstacles that make a fresh start difficult for Jerry.

When Jerry's daughter Trisha returns to him after the death of her mother, he gets into a conflict. Because Trisha has become estranged from her father through the time she did not speak to Jerry and through things her mother told her about Jerry. Jerry doubts that Trisha will be able to forgive him for the mistakes he has made in the past, and the "new" Jerry has trouble forgiving himself too.
