The German Introductory Act to the Courts Constitution Act (abbreviation: EGGVG , also: GVGEG ) was enacted on January 27, 1877. In addition to the Courts Constitution Act (GVG), it contains some general provisions for ordinary jurisdiction and regulates the entry into force of the GVG.

Regulatory content

The entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act (GVG) was regulated in Section 1, which has since become obsolete and has therefore been repealed ; Section 2 states that the GVG is only applicable in proceedings involving ordinary, disputed jurisdiction. In addition, the EGGVG grants the federal states certain options for structuring the court system, such as B. the creation of a Supreme Regional Court (§§ 8 ff. EGGVG), which Bavaria had made use of with the Bavarian Supreme Regional Court ; other provisions in favor of state law were repealed after the abolition of the monarchy.

Sections 12–22 EGGVG regulate the transmission of personal data by the courts and public prosecutors to other public bodies.

Sections 23–30 EGGVG provide for a special procedure for contesting judicial administrative files , unless this is already regulated in other procedures. Charge is the Oberlandesgericht ; his decision is final.

Sections 31–38a EGGVG regulate the possibility of a ban on contact for prisoners if the current danger arises from a terrorist organization .

The most recently added section 39 EGGVG regulates the introduction and storage of insolvency statistics , but is to be converted into an independent law on insolvency statistics in the future.
