The Eagle Aircraft 150 is a sport aircraft produced by the Australian manufacturer Eagle Aircraft .

History and construction

The Eagle 150 is a two-seat sports and training aircraft made entirely of composite material. The Eagle has a special wing design, which consists of about a third narrower wings under the engine in front of the cockpit and main wings behind the cockpit above, but the Eagle is not a double-decker in the usual sense. This unique slat construction gives the Eagle exceptional maneuverability. In addition, the machine has a conventional tail unit and a non-retractable nose wheel landing gear. The Eagle 150A flew for the first time in March 1988. After 15 machines were built, the upgraded Eagle 150B was converted. The manufacturing rights have meanwhile been transferred to the Malaysian company Composites Technology Research Malaysia .

A further development of the aircraft as a UAV is already underway. The Malaysian government bought three pieces of the machine known as the Eagle ARV .
