building
The local history museum was located in the Bovehaus until 1937 . Since the end of the 20th century the local history museum has been housed in the so-called Morewood- Stift , a building from the 19th century. The daughters of the Hamburg merchant Morewood had the building built. Originally it served as an old people's home . At the beginning of the 1990s, the Wandsbek citizen's association from 1848 eV took over the building together with the Heimatring Wandsbek eV and set up the museum in it. The building is located at Böhmestrasse 20. The street was called Stiftstrasse until 1950.
collection

The local history museum deals with Heinrich Carl von Schimmelmann and the Wandsbeker Castle as well as Matthias Claudius and the newspaper Der Wandsbecker Bothe .
