Helmuth Fricke

Helmuth Fricke (born June 1, 1933 in Wandsbek ; † July 14, 2013 ) was a German publisher and local history researcher .

Life

Fricke was born in Wandsbek near Hamburg in 1933 .

As a trained book trade and publishing clerk , he was the owner of Lehrmittel Verlag Otto Heinevetter until it was sold .

Helmuth Fricke published numerous books and essays on the history of Wandsbek. The latter appeared in the Wandsbek historical section of the Wandsbek informative magazine published by the Wandsbek von 1848 eV community . Since 1992 Fricke has been editor of the magazine .

Together with Michael Pommerening and Georg-Wilhelm Röpke, Helmuth Fricke developed a tour of the historical sites of Wandsbek.

Memberships

Fricke belonged to the Wandsbek citizens' association , which is responsible for the Wandsbek local history museum . He was also a member of the Heimatring Wandsbek and the Claudius Society .

Awards

Helmuth Fricke has received several awards for his commitment. He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit and the Portugaleser in bronze. He also received the Wandsbek medal awarded by the district office and the district assembly .
