Earl Edward Sherff

Earl Edward Sherff (born May 18, 1886 in Flint , Michigan , † May 16, 1966 in Hastings , Michigan) was an American botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Sherff ".

Life

Earl Edward Sherff received at Albion College the title of Bachelor of botany and then went to the University of Chicago , to where the Master - and the later doctorate to gain. He later taught at various high schools in the Chicago area , as well as at Chicago Teachers College . He was also a Research Associate at the Natural History Museum in Chicago. In his free time he collected a variety of plants, especially from the Wabash Valley near his home. Many of the herbarium specimens are preserved in the Missouri Botanical Garden herbarium.
